Lady Leo Publishing Interview

LLP sits down with prolific author Letitia P. Blount:

LLP:  Introduce yourself to your fans.

LPB: Hello everyone, I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and I live with my family.

LLP: Who/what inspired you to write?

LPB: I have always enjoyed reading since I was a child.  I love to escape into the written worlds of the books I read. I sung most of my life and wrote my own lyrics, later on I moved on to poetry. I have such a passion for words and found I could express myself freely. When I stopped singing I then picked up writing full time.

LLP: What other works have you published?

LPB: I have self-published three poetry books, and one through another publisher, and thanks to Lady Leo Publishing I have an e-book published.

LLP: How long have you been writing?

LPB: Most of my life.

LLP: What are your goals as a writer?

LPB: To grow as a writer and tell great stories. To have my writing reach out to someone letting them know you can make it through your darkest hours. You can celebrate your triumphs. Its’ all good and don’t block your blessings…there’s always lessons learned.

LLP: What can fans expect to find when they read one of your stories?

LPB: Relatable characters dealing with real issues on subjects happening in the world today.

LLP: What do you hope fans take away after reading one of your stories?

LPB: Been there done that or know someone who has and we can overcome.

LLP: How do you come up with your characters?

LPB: Most of the time I come up with a title and the idea. As soon as I’m finished writing the idea the ‘character’ shows up ready to go.

LLP: Are the characters based on real life situations?

LPB:  My characters are based on spices from here and there, from what I see or heard.

LLP: What excites you most about being a writer?

LPB:  Creating and seeing the characters come to life and having a reader enjoy the story.

LLP: What challenges have you faced as a writer?

LPB: Trying to get published the industry is hard to crack if you don’t have an agent. I applaud Ms. Sammie Ward for creating Lady Leo Publishing giving myself and other authors the opportunity to be published.

LLP: What do you consider your greatest achievement as a writer?

LPB: Each story is a great achievement to me writing isn’t an easy process it takes a lot of work. I celebrate after I complete each story.

LLP: How do you balance writing with your personal/professional life?
